Park Ave Armory Carnival

The Park Avenue Armory selected Raise Plow to design, produce and present an extraordinary four-day, indoor Carnival, a whimsical and theatrical event combining the classic and the contemporary, featuring breathtaking performances and authentic carnival rides and games including a massive fifty-foot Ferris wheel as its centerpiece. The Seventh Regiment Armory, located at 643 Park Avenue also known as Park Avenue Armory, is an historic brick building that fills an entire city block on New York's Upper East Side. The Wade Thompson Drill Hall was transformed into a fantastical event for all, allowing thousands of New York City residents to see the results of the massive restoration project currently underway. The team worked closely with the armory in advising and consulting on the design and implementation of the first phase of a $200 million renovation. Four years ago, a nonprofit leased the armory from the state to use as an arts and performance space. This portion which provided for significant upgrades to facility’s lighting, audio and electrical systems will allow the Park Avenue Armory to transform into a prominent location for the arts in New York City.
